ESI refers to Employee State Insurance which is managed by the Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) an autonomous body created by the law under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. This ESI scheme was initiated for Indian workers providing them with a huge variety of benefits such as monetary, medical and other benefits under the ESI Act. The employees are required to provide form containing the details of their family members and their photographs to the employer.
After successful registration employer will be provided with a ESI identity card.
