    Trademark classification is the key element for the trademark registration that the trademark relates to which class of goods or services. Trademark registry classifies goods and services into 45 classes. We will guide you in identifying the class under which the goods or services.     WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES IF THE PROPER CLASS IS NOT SELECTED?

    Before filing of trademark application in any class, conduct a proper analysis of appropriate classes of goods and services relevant to the business. In case of incorrect class selected in the application, the trademark application shall be held on formality check fail and applicant is required to file TM-M with the correct class and fee of Rs.900/-. If the TM-M is not filed the application shall get abandoned.

    WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES OF FILING APPLICATION WITH INCORRECT KEYWORDS?

    In case the description of the application consist of keywords not included in the respective class selected then TM registry shall raise objection or fail the formality check demanding the TM-M with correction in application. If the TM-M is not filed the application shall get abandoned. TM-M for correction shall be filed with fee of Rs.900/-.
