Shop and Establishment registration refers to a state-based registration. Every business entity is required to get registered under their local Shop & Establishment Registration Act. The main purpose of this registration is to secure the benefit for the employees and work as per the State laws. As per the Shop & Establishment Registration, shop refers to a premise, where any trade/ business is carried out or services are rendered to customers. It also includes offices or warehouses, used in connection with such trade or business whether in the same premises or not, but not include a premises attached to a factory which comes within the scope of the Factories Act.
